Sylvia graduated from McGill University with a Master’s in Physical Therapy. She is a licensed member of l’Ordre professional de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ) and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
Sylvia has worked with clients of all ages who have orthopedic, neurological and/or cardiovascular conditions. During her studies, she has gained clinical experience at the Richardson Hospital (specialized in post-stroke), Concordia Physio Sport West-Island clinic (mixed orthopaedic clientele), Peter Hall School (specialized in pediatric neurological conditions) and Mount Sinai Hospital (specialized in cardio respiratory conditions). Additionally, Sylvia has completed specialized courses in pelvic floor rehabilitation and pediatrics as part of her education at McGill University.
Sylvia is committed to life-long learning and pursues continuing education in various physical therapy treatment approaches to expand her expertise in orthopedics, pelvic floor rehabilitation and pediatrics. Currently, she has an interest in McKenzie approach and manual therapy. She is certified with Level A: McKenzie approach for Lumbar Spine.
Sylvia is passionate about working closely with you to help you achieve your personal functional goals. Using her expertise in human anatomy and biomechanics, she will design an individualized treatment plan to help you get back to your daily activities safely.
Aside from physiotherapy, Sylvia enjoys dragon boat, running, cooking and travelling.
