Vice-President, Operations and Physiotherapist
Rémi Bergeron received his bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Montreal in 2001 and is a member of "l’Ordre des professionnels de la physiothérapie du Québec". He has been a part of the Action Sport Physio Downtown team since 2001 and he is now a senior physiotherapist at the clinic. Furthermore, as of January 2007, he is the VP of Operations at Action Sport Physio Downtown.
="line-height: 1.6em;">Among many sporting events, Rémi has treated and covered artists from Cirque du Soleil at their main training facility here in Montreal. Rémi’s interest for Sports Medicine led him to become Head Physiotherapist for the Montreal Men’s Elite Gymnastic Team, IMCO in 2001. This allowed Remi to work with upcoming international leveled gymnasts as well as Olympic hopefuls.
Rémi demonstrated an interest in teaching and supervising Physiotherapy students during their final stage. He is pursuing his specialization in Manual Therapy, aiming to attain his level E3V3 and plans to continue developing his expertise in Sports Physiotherapy. More recently, he has been pursuing expertise in “Kinetic Control”. Other qualifications include National Life Guarding Certification (pool and beach), official level 2 International Downhill Ski Federation Certification as well as a Level 2 National Coaching Certification Program and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation.
Passionate about sports, Rémi has competed at the national level in Alpine Ski and Triathlon Events. He trains for many endurance and outdoor activities such as mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, cross-country skiing, and whitewater kayaking. Since 2000 he has participated in a large number of races and most recently has been classified at an International Level in events throughout the United States, Brazil, and Mexico.
