Maria Casola graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from McGill University in 2011. She then pursued her education and obtained a Master’s degree from McGill University in 2012. Maria is also a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Quebec (OPPQ).
Since graduating, Maria has worked as a physiotherapist at the Royal Victoria Hospital where she had the pleasure of working with patients with a variety of conditions from post-surgery to overall degeneration. Maria then went on to pursue her passion to work with clients in a private setting.
Maria joined the Action Sport Physio St-Leonard team in 2015. She is currently pursuing her training in manual therapy with the Association Québécoise de Physiothérapie Manuelle Orthopédique (AQPMO). Additionally, she has also completed her Mckenzie level 1 and 3, Mulligan lower extremities and an introductory course in vestibular rehabilitation.
Maria also has also begun her training in specializing in pelvic floor physiotherapy. She is currently certified to treat urinary incontinence in females. She looks forward to continuing her training in pelvic floor as well as start her training in concussion management.
