Kelsey graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor in Science from the Exercise Science program majoring in Athletic Therapy. She is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA) and La Corporation des Thérapeutes du Sports du Québec (CTSQ). As a certified Athletic Therapist, Kelsey is very familiar with treating musculoskeletal injuries (injuries to ligaments, muscles, tendons, bones, and joints) and acute or chronic injuries and pains. She is also a certified Sports First Responder, and covers various sporting events where she improves herself in bracing and taping techniques and provides emergency care for acute injuries during sport.
During her degree, Kelsey completed field and clinical internships at the college and university level covering a wide variety of athlete’s including men’s and women’s soccer, hockey, football, rugby and more. She had the privilege to accompany the Concordia Men’s rugby team at the 2017 National University Men’s Rugby Championship in Guelph, Ontario. In the clinic she specializes in injury assessment, rehabilitation, exercise prescription, and prevention strategies.
Kelsey has always had a passion towards sports as she was a competitive gymnast at the provincial level for 8 years and continues to coach at the recreational and competitive level. She knows how injuries can affect performance and has always wanted to help athletes perform at their best health and ability. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys outdoor activities such as going on hikes, runs, skiing/skating as well as camping.
