Biography

B.Sc. AT, M.Sc.(A) PT

Bea has completed a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, specializing in Athletic Therapy at Concordia University and a Master's degree in Physical Therapy at McGill University. During her education she has gained a variety of skills in sports first responder - emergency care, manual therapy (certified in articular manipulation techniques), therapeutic modalities and specialized neurological, amputee and cancer rehabilitation.

The skills she developed during her education were put into practice when she worked as a student field therapist for various McGill varsity teams (Lacrosse, Rugby, Volleyball, Basketball) and covered a variety of events while pursing her education and enriching her knowledge in therapeutics through McGill's Master's program in physiotherapy. Not only does she possess skills in event coverage, she also has experience in clinical rehabilitation from internships at Dawson College's AT clinic, at Concordia Physio Sport Lasalle clinic, at Montreal Neurological Hospital and Montreal General Hospital in acute neurological care and at Institut de Réadaptation Gingras-Lindsay de Montréal with inpatient Amputees. In addition, she has also completed complementary classes in Cancer Rehabilitation and Advanced Manual Therapy during the course of her PT degree.

Bea is passionate about providing patient centered-care and helping individuals attain their functional objectives. She strives to help patients reach their goals and relieve their pain through a thorough biomechanical assessment and carefully designed rehabilitation program, combined with manual techniques and therapeutic modalities, aimed at targeting not only the symptoms of a patients' problem but mainly, the source of it. With her positive attitude and eagerness to help you, she is ready to tackle whatever challenge comes her way and get you back to your daily activities, promptly and safely.

Aside from physiotherapy, in her spare time, Bea enjoys singing, learning new songs on the guitar, reading, staying active at the gym and spending quality time with family and friends.
