Jamila Amirova Physiotherapist, Perineal Physiotherapist

Jamila completed her master's degree in physiotherapy at McGill University.

She is passionate about women's health, for which she took a course at McGill University to treat urinary incontinence in women, as well as a continuing education course on yin yoga as an exercise prescription for connective tissue. She plans to take further training courses to deepen her knowledge of perineal health and practice mainly in perineal rehabilitation.

During her physiotherapy studies at McGill, Jamila completed internships in vestibular rehabilitation for the treatment of vertigo and other vestibular problems, in neurological and cardiorespiratory rehabilitation in the intensive care unit, as well as internships in private orthopedics for the treatment of lumbago, sciatica, tendonitis, bursitis, etc. She also worked with the McGill’s field hockey and basketball teams and had taken a first responder course in sports for this purpose. She continues to acquire knowledge in the orthopedic field, obtaining certifications in x-ray prescription for physiotherapists, peripheral joint manipulation, the McKenzie approach to treating low back pain, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) assessment and treatment.
