Head physiotherapist and owner - Action Sport Physio Vaudreuil-Dorion and Valleyfield
Éric Boucher graduated in 2002 with a B.Sc. in physiotherapy from the Université de Montréal and is a member of the Ordre des Professionnels de la Physiothérapie du Québec. He started with Action Sport Physio in January 2003. He co-owns the Vaudreuil-Dorion clinic since 2005 and the Valleyfield clinic since 2007. He also acts as president and public relations director for both clinics since January 2009. Éric has notably covered various sports events and treats local athletes, from junior AAA hockey to bantam and midget AAA football.
His interest in sports medicine and running has led him to become an expert in running injuries, prevention and in biomechanical analysis of lower limbs which allows him to treat some of Canada’s elite runners. He has been a guest speaker at the Montreal International Marathon and is a marathon runner himself since 2005. Éric likes to teach and supervise physiotherapy students during their final internships and he constantly aspires to broaden his knowledge of physiotherapy and furthering his education in manual therapy.
A fan of sports in general, Éric also competes in triathlons competitions and he completed his very first Half Ironman in the summer of 2009 in Rhode Island. During his free time, he plays a little soccer and volleyball, sports for which he was a coach for a few years.
