Testimonials

I would like to thank Action Sport Physio for the excellent newsletter I receive periodically. I should mention that my experience at Action Sport Physio - West Island has been exceptionally good. I want the highest authorities in Action Sport Physio to know that my physiotherapist is unquestionably the best I have ever dealt with. It is my considered opinion that she is the best that a physiotherapist can be. In addition, she has a keen intuitive sense about the human body and what can physically go wrong with it. Also, she is a remarkably decent human being.

Just wanted to send you an update since my last appointment with respect to The MAGNESPHERE. The stiffness in my legs was disappearing and I really felt like a new beginning was unfolding with my Multiple Sclerosis. My walking was even starting to improve from the treatment. Sometimes I even felt like trying to walk without my cane. I cannot wait to return after my surgery from a different medical condition not related to the MS. See you soon

Thanks Alain !! Having suffered from a shattered heel and a broken ankle 7 months ago and using crutches and canes for the last 6 months, the Magnesphere has me walking and without pain within only 4 sessions. After the first session my heel and ankle immediately felt better. I walked out without the crutches and with very little pain. It's unbelievable. I have not used crutches since. The Magnespere has worked for me. Don, Fort McMurray

An update on the improvement I’ve been seeing since my appointment with the Magnesphere. It is truly remarkable. Last night the family and I went for our Monday swim. I was unable to use both legs while doing the front crawl for the last four months because my hips were too stiff. But last night, I used both legs without hip stiffness. My body seemed to become more fluid. Also, the next morning, I went down the stairs with more efficient movement and ease. Again, it’s like my body has become more fluid. Not to mention, I normally wake up at 4 or 5 but today, I woke up at 7. I will keep you posted on the positive changes that I am experiencing thanks to the Magnesphere. Thank you!

I tried the MAGNESPHERE twice and the results were astonishing. I consulted regarding a stress fracture of the 2nd metatarsal of my right foot and from the first visit I had better mobility and decreased pain. Furthermore, on that day, I was also suffering from whiplash and a stiff neck. After 60 minutes in the MAGNESPHERE my neck was 100% better with perfect mobility. I was very impressed by this apparatus which generates an electromagnetic field that is totally without pain. I’ve since had perfect night sleeps and decreased stress at work. Thank you, Alain of Action Sport Physio, letting us benefit from this technology.

After my knee surgery, needless to say I was barely able to walk let alone function. I had a work accident the previous year. Then I found Action Sport Physio and met some of the most amazing physiotherapists. With their care and professionalism I am now able to function 85% better. I am truly pleased with the services offered to me by Alain and his staff.

I have been a duathlete since 1997 and a triathlete since 2000. I have competed in two sprint triathlon world championships, Age Group category -- I won silver in Melbourne, Australia (2002) and gold in Edmonton, Canada (2005). I also participated in 2 Olympic distance duathlon world championships, Age Group category, in Concord, North Carolina, U.S. (2009), where I finished 20th, and in Edinburgh, Scotland (2010), where I finished 15th. From 2009 to 2011, I suffered from several injuries common to athletes – to the hip, knee and heel. In January 2012, I decided to face the problem head on and to consult Christophe Szumski, who is considered one of the best osteopaths for amateur and elite athletes at Action Sport Physio. He helped me with my posture to achieve a good balance with my body and taught me the right strengthening, flexibility and mobility exercises. He also made me understand and implement the right eating habits necessary to increase my sports performance and vitality. Since May 2012, all my problems have been solved and I perform better than ever! I am ready for the duathlon world championship in Nancy (France), in which I will compete on September 23 as part of the Canadian duathlon team. I thank the West Island Action Sport Physio clinic, as well as Christophe Szumski, for helping me get back on my feet quickly and for being able to perform at the national and international levels.

In 2011, I finished in 5th place at the Duathlon World Championship in Spain. As a competition enthusiast, I had previously competed in more than 25 running, decathlon and triathlon competitions during that year. In the course of that very busy season, I suffered from a very painful heel spur. Right after the world championship was over, I had to stop running for 6 months. I tried every possible health treatment under the sun and, finally, I turned to Shockwave therapy with Alain Scheldeman. I had already gone to Action Sport Physio and benefitted from the services of a physiotherapist, who had given me excellent practical advice to heal a plantar fasciitis and I did not hesitate to go to that clinic again. I met with Alain, the jovial owner of the clinic, and he gave me 3 Shockwave treatments. I was told it’s a painful treatment. To be honest, it turned out less bad than I thought. It only lasted 5 minutes and the pain diminished with every session. Then, on Alain’s recommendations, I gradually started running again 6 weeks later. I was pleasantly surprised by Alain’s exceptional follow-up. Even after therapy was over, he kept asking me how I was doing. Alain was really taking my healing to heart and I found it reassuring to have such a support. This year (2012), I have gone back to competing. I perform at the same rhythm as last year, minus the pain. I get great pleasure from training for my new goal: the Half Ironman World Championship (on September 9, 2012). And to avoid injuring myself again, I now see Christophe Szumski, an osteopath for amateur and elite athletes at Action Sport Physio. He helps me correct my posture so that I perform at my very best. Also, he guides me nutrition-wise so that I tap into my full potential during the many competitions. His help has become indispensable. In other words, I feel lucky to be able to count on a team as professional and dedicated as this one. I have not hesitated to refer many of my friends to Action Sport Physio (West Island). I trust them completely!

Hi, Alain. I felt it important to write Action Sport Physio because it seems little is published about the extensive possibilities of the shockwave treatment that is offered to help repair chronic, resistant scar tissue and I really believe that the word needs to get out and reach people. It is one of two treatments that I have received over my years in pain that I can say has saved my sanity. Had I known of its existence earlier, it would have saved me years of pain and thousands of wasted dollars, not to mention the psychological scars that come with chronic long-term pain. In summary, contrary to mild scar tissue that can be worked on via manual therapy, many people in chronic pain such as myself have patches of plaque-like scar tissue that is resistant to conventional therapy, suffocates the muscle tissue underneath by preventing blood flow and in turn causes muscular compensation elsewhere in the body (that, in of itself, increases the risk of more scar tissue), because it blocks the muscular chain from fluidly working and moving together. I had scar tissue over my left sacroiliac joint around 4 inches by 4 inches, causing terrible radiating pain in my buttocks, hamstrings, lower back, as well as SI joint inflammation. After the first painful but worth-every-second treatment of shockwave therapy, I felt, for the first time in years, mobility and blood flow literally into the area as well as an instant reduction in nerve pain. And though it took an unconventional number of treatments, healthy tissue gradually grew in its place and now I can actually sit, walk and even cycle or jog without pain. What was just as impressive was that once that scar tissue was healed, I could then feel a second patch in my mid-back muscles, preventing me from twisting and rotating without pain. The shockwave treatment immediately helped heal that area as well. Obviously proper hydration and stretching helped the healing process but my years of yoga could not advance me until the scar tissue was removed. It is mainly advertised for tennis elbow or small foot injuries, but people need to know that this shockwave treatment helped save what seemed to feel like a condemned existence. I hope the patients out there get the chance to read about the machine before they suffer for years like I did. Thank you so much for proposing this treatment and for the flexibility you showed during my treatment.

When I first came to "Action Sport Physio", I was in pretty bad shape. I had been suffering of neck pain for about 3 years, caused by excess use of the computer mouse. The pain was so strong that I couldn't sleep at night anymore, it was giving me the effect that I had a constant headache. I had tried different alternative but it wasn't working. From the first session, I felt that someone could actually make me feel better, that someone took my case in his hands. With the excellent care and exercise program that was given to me, I can now sleep without feeling pain and I am regainning my energy back. Alain is always professional and friendly with excellent listening skills, and he is also great at explaining. Warmest thanks to Lyne and Alain for taking such good care of me. I would strongly recommend "Action Sport Physio".

I was suffering from a plantar fasciitis for the last few weeks, most likely due to inadequate shoes. The use of a heel lift, ice applications, acupuncture brought me no reliefs. I was then introduced to Shockwave therapy by a very reputable podiatrist in Montreal. I was refereed to Action Sport Physio under the care of Alain Scheldeman. The results were nothing less than great. Three treatments, at a week apart, were sufficient to get rid of all my pain. I am now able to practice my favorite activity, which is walking, without any pain. Many thanks to Alain Scheldeman ! Pierre Leduc, MD

I have had tennis elbow for over 4 months now. I was referred to Action Sport Physio by a friend. I was told upon my initial visit that they would do (Shock Treatment) for 3 straight weeks and that the success rate was 80%. I was very septic but agreed to the treatment. I was amazed at the results! In just three weeks I have full range of motion; I can pick up items at arms length without pain that I have not been able to do for the last 4 months! I even had pain just brushing my teeth. Who would have thought that (Shocking) or hitting my bone and tendon would work but it really does. Thank you so much to Alain at Action Sport Physio. I definitely recommend this to anyone who has experienced the pain and discomfort associated with Tennis Elbow.

My doctor recommended Shock-Wave Therapy after my being side-lined from walking for a year with heel spurs and a problem with the Achilles tendon. It has been a long road with much impatience on my part. “Get better and hurry up about it” was my mantra but Alain guided me through my stretches, physio, many emails and today I can say, “okay, I am 99% healed”. I do get a twinge once in a while but that is because I have moved my foot the wrong way. Power walking has been my passion for the past 7 years and to have to put it aside was a killer to me. Shock-Wave therapy does work – honestly, it does somewhat hurt when being administered but the results are well worth it. Time and patience and a commitment to doing the exercises provided by Action Sport Physio have provided me with another chance of ‘being on the road again’. Thank you once again to Alain and Action Sport Physio!

MERCI "1998" FOIS ALAIN Dominick Gauthier

It was not long ago that I couldn’t do much without a lot of pain because of a sacroiliac problem and a sciatic nerve in my left hip. Your and Robin’s physiotherapy treatments have resolved the sacroiliac back pain and, as you recommended, Sylvain’s acupuncture have put the sciatic pain to rest. For the past month, I have done everything I normally do and it is like these two pain problems never existed. You and your team are now 4 for 4 in taking care of me. Thanks. I am doing very well for a 74 year old.

I was injured at my first soccer game of the year. I collided with a boy from the other team and unfortunately I got the worst of it. Before I came here, I was not able to bend my knee very far and I couldn’t make in straight. Once I started working with my therapist, I clearly saw the difference from before and after. Now I can bend my knee all the way back and put it straight. So I would like to thank him for helping and putting up with me for these past weeks. I would also like to thank Chris for helping on my last day. But all in all I would like to make a huge thanks to Action Sport Physio.

I injured myself during a very demanding police course. I was no longer able to move my right arm. The pain I endured was very intense. Being from the West Island I decided to stay in D.D.O. so that I could follow treatements at Action Sport Physio. Having been injured several times in the army, I have seen many physiotherapists. I was very impressed by Corey’s assessment of me. After my first treatment, I began to feel better and I was able to regain some movement. I can’t believe how fast I recovered. Saddly, I will have to return to work in Rimouski, but I am very impressed by the top notch treatments I received here. If my problem re-surfaces, I will surely return to Action Sport Physio.

In response to an article in the Gazette of October 17th 2006 on “Problem Feet” by Jill Barker: “I was diagnosed in 2001 as having “Plantar Fasciitis” by my orthopedic foot and ankle specialist. It started at the left foot, I had X-Ray, Bone Scan, and all the treatments you mentioned in your article (custom made othotics, cortizon injections, anti-inflammatory, fitted splint at night). Nothing helped. After almost one year of suffering, as a last resort, I tried a new treatment which saved my life and that is Shockwave Therapy which is done at Action Sport Physio West Island. After only 3 sessions and 1 month healing, I was pain free! Three years later I went through the same thing with my right foot. This time I went strait to get Shockwave, and in one month, I was pain free again. You have not mentioned this life saving treatment in your article but I think it’s interesting to give readers this wonderful alternative to all the classic treatments which are not always successful.”

I was diagnosed with Tendonitis at another clinic other than Action Sport Physio. Once diagnosed I proceeded with therapy treatment, at this other clinic, for a little over two months (twice a week – 1.5 hours each time) but by the end of the two months I was discouraged. The pain had faintly disappeared. When I asked if there is anything else that can be done, the reply I received was < it`s just age, there is nothing more that can be done, you need to accept it>. Needless to say, I was discouraged. It was painful to live with this pain on a daily basis. Not only did I have a weighing feeling on my left shoulder all day long, it constricted my daily activities and movements. Then one day I was blessed! A friend who had a major back operation and was treated at Action Sport for therapy, and this after a major back operation, talked to me about his positive experience with Action Sport Physio. These were not only words, as I was able to see with my own eyes his before and after results … amazing! I started to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I proceeded to schedule an appointment for a visit and I was recommended to try the Radial Shockwave Therapy. It took three treatments and I can say that today, after now six months since my last treatment … I feel absolutely fantastic. At times I do movements in my daily tasks expecting to feel a pain and much to my amazement there is no pain. I would like to say thank you to Alain and his team for professional services rendered and for taking good care of everyone who is lucky enough to be treated at Action Sport Physio. When I first came to physio, my ankles were hurting a lot because of dance classes and soccer. I always had pain after class, so I had to crack my ankles which made them worse. Then I met Tanya, my physiotherapist. She gave me some exercises to make my ankles stronger. It took several weeks, but my ankles did get a little stronger. It also improved my walking because before, I was walking crooked and then day by day it would improve. Then I went on this machine that was very difficult at first, but now I think I am a professional. At the end of each class Tanya would place a machine next to me and that helped a lot. Now my ankles feel so much better and I can have fun with no pain.

I came in with lower back pain that radiated to the left. I had no previous back issues and the pain was quite intense which was rather scary for someone. With a high pain threshold, my doctor recommended physiotherapy. Tanya was my physiotherapist and right from the start she impressed with her professionalism and innate ability to make me feel comfortable, basically she was easy to trust. After a thorough session, she examined me and determined the problem was with the facet joint between L3-4. My sessions started 3x/week for a few weeks to 2x/week, then 1x/week over the course of 10 weeks. Each session consisted of Tanya working her magic by working/massaging the affected area, and then she gave me specific targeted exercises to do. She was sure to make me practice with her supervision so I would get it right on my own at home. Well it worked because 7am pain free. Thanks so much Tanya, you are a credit to your profession!

Now approximately one month following the third Shockwave Treatment on the right Achilles tendon area, I feel that there has been some improvement in day-to-day discomfort. Splints, insoles, straps, stretching etc. perhaps got me to 50% of normal. Shockwave has perhaps brought the right side to 75 or 80% of normal, leaving 20-25% for some remaining aching, tingling, tightness, and a general feeling that impact activity would still cause further damage. At this point I am looking for further improvement emerges in the coming weeks and would like to thanks Alain for the great help.

Over and above Alain’s technical competence, he has an excellent ability to connect with people and listen to their goals. My goal was to resume skiing moguls as this was one of my passions. I had fallen down a flight of 8 wooden steps while carrying a baby. Since I could not hold or grab the railing, my back absorbed all of the shock of the fall (the baby was perfectly fine – not even a scratch). I had a welt and a hairline fracture of my back. The pain and swelling were horrible. Saeed has since helped me reduce the almost constant pain to a once in a while occurrence. In fact, I have not been in any pain now in over 2 weeks. A year and a half later, during my second year of swim team, my shoulders started hurting and I found out that I have unstable shoulders and had developed tendonitis. I started physio in February with Heather. About a month later, Dan became my physiotherapist and soon after that, I was with Andrea. Andrea knew exactly what I needed to do to fix my shoulders. After 2 months of working with her, I was able to swim for Westminster pool during the entire season. On top of that, I qualified for Big Meet and will be swimming in 3 events. Before coming to Action Sport most of my days at work were spent in excruciating pain. At home, I could not sit on a couch for more than 15 minutes. Most of my nights required two extra strength muscle and back pain tablets. Three weeks ago after my first session, the results were instantaneous; the combination of massage and exercise worked wonders. Every week since, has been a blessing. Prior to coming here, I actually considered changing my job, thinking there was no way I could possibly live through all this pain. Hello, my name is Cassandra B. and I would like to thank everyone who helped me when my knee cap popped out. I would like to thank Andrea the most for being my physiotherapist. At first when I came I was nervous. I didn’t know what was going on. I have never had a real bone injury in all of my twelve years. Everyone was so nice! I couldn’t walk without the crutches but then after a month, I could bend on my leg about 70%. Every time I came I would try to bend it a little more. It was like a game that only I could win. I did my exercises at home and tried to make it fun. Now I am capable to bend my leg as much as my other leg. I can also run and hop like a bunny. Thank you so much.

I want to thank you for taking such good care of Justin. He felt very good after leaving you on Thursday. His knee is still a bit sore but he had it taped and his kicks were quite good! He also had a great catch of 50 yards and then ran for another 5 after the catch! You gave him confidence in the way that you treated him and that you took the time to explain to him what happened to his knee and what to look for so that he would know when and if he needed to go back to see you about his knee. He has listened to you and has been taping his knee and this has helped quite a bit. I can't tell you what this meant to him. He told me that you are the only one who does this and he said that his arm is also back to being perfect because of you! I wanted you to know because so often we don't take the time to let someone know how they affect others and I wanted you to know that Justin was so happy that you took the time so quickly to see him and he said "Mom, Alain doesn't just treat someone and then let them go on their own. He explains what is wrong and then lets you know when and why you would need to come back. He takes care of the whole person, not just the treatment." I thought I would let you know what an impression you have made over the years on Justin and on all of us. You have always been so kind to each of us and so very good at what you do!

My knees started hurting me after a fall I took while skiing last February. I thought it would go away but it didn’t. So starting in May I began physio. I was a little sceptical about it working but after a couple of weeks I saw an improvement and now, thanks to Heather, my knee is back to normal.

I tore my ACL right through by playing soccer in November. I also tore the inner meniscus. My knee was so unstable that I thought I would never play soccer or any other team sport again. I had so much muscle atrophy and swelling that it became discouraging. Now, after seven months of physio twice a week with my therapist and Sylvie, Andrea and Badoui, I’m ready to resume my usual activities. My therapist helped me push through the pain and the slow progress to finally reach my goal at last. Better late than never, “the slow healer has graduated”! A huge thank you to my therapist and the whole team for your expertise, optimism and encouragement! I would not have made it back to sports without your help.

When I came in to see Jodi in May with a badly injured right shoulder, I didn’t hold out much hope of any quick improvement as the pain and stiffness was overbearing. However with Jodi’s help and encouragement, results came quickly. Within a week of Physio I was able to lift my arm above my head which was a significant accomplishment. My goal was to have my shoulder to the point where I would be able to make my annual Golf trip with friends in June. If it wasn’t for Jodi and her help I never would have been able to swing a golf club. I made the trip and even shot an 83 on one day. My shoulder continues to improve and I want to thank Jodi and all the staff for their help and professionalism.

Now I don’t feel any pain in my whole shoulder, it feels just like it did before I dislocated it. It’s great to be able to do things like I used to without feeling any pain. I can do sports now, take off my clothing, wash my hair, all this without feeling any pain! After the first treatment, everything started to feel better and now, it’s back to normal. I’m really glad that I won’t have to worry about hurting it or feeling pain now!

In early March I fell on ice and broke my ankle. After spending 6 weeks in a cast, I immediately commenced therapy with Heather Little. When I first started, my ankle was extremely swollen, and not to mention stiff and painful. For the following weeks, I received excellent therapy and did great exercises. Now, I am able to fully move my ankle, the pain and swelling is gone and I can feel my ankle getting stronger and extremely mobile. My therapist was very attentive to my needs and was very committed to want to help improve my ankle. I am so happy with the treatment I received. My ankle is finally in an excellent state and I am back to doing all my regular activities, pain-free! Thank you!

My son-in-law recommended Action Sport Physio to me. I had tennis elbow for a year. I had previously received massage therapy and other treatments, but the pain never went away. I was losing hope until I met my therapist. His diagnosis and analysis of my problem was very professional, so was his treatment. As a therapist, he made me feel better and better with each session of treatment; as a person, he made me feel optimistic and comfortable. Overall I am very happy with him and his treatment.

The summer of 2008 was going to be very busy for me. I wanted to play both of my favorite sports – basketball and hockey. I tried out and made the Québec Basketball team and was in the middle of final selections for the Quebec Hockey team when disaster struck! My back went out on me while at a basketball tournament in Boston. I couldn’t move it! Bending over to touch my toes was impossible. Action Sport Physio to the rescue!! Chris Mares fixed me right up. He made time in his schedule for intense physio. He even came in early because of my hectic training schedule. Three cheers for Chris and Action Sport Physio!!

On June 1st, 2008. I had an accident outside of my home and I fractured my foot. Eleven days later was my first Action Sport Physio appointment that time I was still on crutches. The next appointment (within a week) I was able to limp around. By the next week, after doing the daily exercises recommended by the physiotherapist, I was beginning to walk normally. Now, four weeks after my accident, I feel like I can walk just as well and pain free as it was before. Thanks to Action Sport Physio and of course my wonderful physiotherapist, Heather! Thank you so much!

When I came I had trouble to do what so ever. There was a lot of pain in my lower back and along the sides of my back and also pressing down hard on my spinal cord. I couldn’t turn to the side, I mean I could but there was pain doing so. I got my injury by falling on a ski slope. At that moment it didn’t hurt at all but then the next day I could barely move my body and my neck was really hurting. After following my physio treatments, now my back does not hurt at all. There are very few and rare moments when I flinch but other than that you could say it’s perfect. Nothing hurts now!

My name is Keith Stokes of the CFL and I received the Shockwave therapy treatment. Before receiving this treatment, I could not do any running or walking without having pain. If I ran my foot would hurt for the next two days. While walking became a pain that I began to get use to, I really didn’t like having it at all! Now after the treatment I’m back to running with very little pain and my foot is getting better day by day. The best thing is… I can walk now pain free! I recommend this Shockwave therapy treatment to anyone with bone spurs in their foot. It really works!

I’ve been dancing for 14 years and around 7 years ago I began to experience minimal pain under my feet. This year my feet became so bad that I was hardly able to take any classes or teach. I began coming to see Tanya around 4-5 months ago and now I have no pain in my feet. I am able to dance and enjoy myself. I can wear high heels all night and have no pain! Thanks!

I have had pain in the lower back region for over 2 years! Having tried many other therapies with no obvious results, I was proposed to try physiotherapy. Robin here has been wonderful. I started feeling better after 3 sessions only. She really can read my body and pain. The human body is very complex. I discovered that Physiotherapy is targeted at making the body function the way it should. I am very pleased with Robin, the treatments and especially the results! I would highly recommend. Thank You!

Who would push their own car on ice and race back to the driver’s position? It does not work, my muscle in my leg tore and I could not walk for the whole day.My son called Action Sport Physio and got my treatments started right away. Excellent assessment by Tanya, great gradual exercises, very polite and most important explained all she was doing. Three follow up sessions were great and professional.Suggestion: Stuck in snow, call a tow truck! If I hear of someone having pain, I will recommend them to go where the “Action” gets you results!

Once upon a time there was a girl named Lauren. She was silly and she hurt her knees but this was not good because she was a ballet dancer supposed to tour in the Nutcracker in a month. So her smart parents took her to Action Sport Physio to fix her knees. Her physio, Chris, gave her lots and lots of exercises to do because the muscles in her legs were very weak. Lauren was a good patient. She did her exercises every day and even bought big chunky running shoes to support her flat foot. She went to physio twice a week for almost a month and enjoyed many ultrasounds, icing and funny-fuzzy machine things. On her last appointment, Chris tested her leg muscles strength and she was a hulk! Well, almost. So with a wave of Chris’ magic rolling pin, he fixed Lauren’s knees so she can dance well in the Nutcracker. Chris is the best. I will bring him a picture for the wall.

Physio at Action Sport Physio has given me back my knees! When I started one year ago, walking a golf course was impossible and shopping of any kind was painful. Surgery on both knees repaired the physical damage but physio gave me back my mobility, strength and flexibility. I am participating in sports again and feel like a new woman. Thank you Andrea for all your hard work, expertise and cheerfulness, all was very much appreciated.

When I first came in could not walk properly, I was leaning forward and to the right. I had constant pain on the left side of my buttock. I was lacking flexibility and was not able to bend my body in any given direction. I was in constant pain for approximately 3 days. I have gone through five sessions. From the first session I could see the improvements and see my body was starting to realign itself. I followed the instructions & exercises on a daily basis set out by Heather. This helped reduce the length of time in correcting my back problem. The service(s) that where provided to me was given in a professional manner. Heather was constantly following up to ensure I was not in any discomfort during any of the workouts. I appreciated her style of work. Thanks!

I had arrived at Action Sport Physio with an inflammation called a bursa in the hip area. Very uncomfortable to say the least! I came in visibly limping and heavily favoring my left leg + hip, and after just one session with Heather, I walked out with almost no limp at all. With the instructions + exercises provided by Heather, I was walking normally in 48 hours, with almost no soreness at all. Heather was courteous, understanding and very knowledgeable. She made the visits to Action Sport Physio a pleasure instead of a chore. Thank you all and good luck!!

I came in with pain on my heel and at the back of my ankle. This was a constant pain all day long for about 1 ½ months. After 5 sessions with Sylvie, the pain is gone. She recommended stretching exercises and better footwear during the day. I followed her suggestions and the pain decreased from a 50% pain level to, 0 pains. I still have a bit of stiffness, so I’ll be back next week.

Since May 2007 I’ve been suffering from a Heel Spur that was devastating and has been affecting my everyday life; walking, standing, I could not take my daily walks anymore. I decided to go to Action Sport Physio and was recommended to have a Shockwave treatment by my therapist Andrea Dewar. So I contacted Alain, went through hell for 4 treatments and (it’s a miracle) after 1 month, I can walk normal again! Thank you Alain, you are a miracle worker!!!

My name is Victoria Bradshaw. I’m 12 years old and I’ve been swimming for 8 years. I swim at D.D.O. swim team and this year I moved up a level. It was the first time that I would feel discomfort and pain. So I made a visit to Action Sport Physio for some treatment. Now after 10 weeks of treatment, I’m as good as new, without any pain or discomfort. Thank you very much Tanya and the rest of the staff !

What makes work a pleasant place to go to is the staff. The team in the back is light and fun. The physios are all able to communicate together, get along and create a nice working atmosphere. There is no "I" in team and in the back, it's a team. I like that everyone knows your name, it's not just a physio to client relationship, it's about greeting the patient whether or not it pertains to a specific physio or any therapist. Positive environment.

I've been getting up for the past 23 years to come work with a wonderful group of employees. It's nice to work in a company that does not treat you as a "number". We all care about each other, both in and out of work. The work environment is fun, I enjoy the work I do and we are treated with respect. It's great to be part of the Action Sport Physio family.

La clinique du West Island est très bien située géographiquement, sûrement la plus belle clinique à Montréal. Bonne luminosité.
