Following several treatments Shannon suggested that I should perhaps visit my doctor. I was subsequently diagnosed with polymyalgia. She felt that until my condition improved, I should discontinue physiotherapy. I had a call from Shannon last week, enquiring about my condition. I cannot speak highly enough of Shannon - her treatment and her caring attitude. It was a pleasure to deal with everyone at Action Sport.

Hello my faithful supporters - The Ride has come and gone - what a spectacular event. The "moments" started happening almost immediately. At breakfast on the 1st day I ran into Solli, an older gentleman I'd trained with. It turns out that this active, unassuming, generous man was an 18-year cancer survivor. The emotions welled up inside me as my many motivations for embarking on this journey moved into the foreground. The training was over, this was what I'd prepared for and my heart was totally in it. Moments piled onto moments and then the opening ceremonies moved the majority of the 1,836 riders to tears, along with the thousands of onlookers. Then...we were off! The first day was "relatively" easy, if you think 150 km is easy. It was flat and we were buoyed by our enthusiasm but the heat and humidity took its toll. I was in my sleeping bag (or rather on top of it) by 8:30. The next day saw another 150 km, even hotter temperatures and a total of 12 hills! Turns out that my training served me in very good stead - I rode up every one of those hills, passing those people who had to walk them, but the heat was another matter. No one in their right mind would have been cycling in such heat - but in my mind were other things: Nancy, I'm so glad you're still in my life - I love you; Catherine, I still miss you - it was nice to have you watching over me during the ride; Bob G. - I'm thinking of you and your family as you mourn the recent loss of your dad; Bob P. - I lost you first so many years ago, but you're still very present in my heart. The arrival in Quebec City saw a cathartic outpouring of emotions. I was hot and exhausted yet I felt exhilarated. What a journey - what a cause! We made a difference, you and I. Together, we raised 3,155$ towards cancer research by supporting the ride; 6.7$ million was raised in total. Thank you! And thank you to my team at Action Sport Physio - we did it! Until next year's ride, this is Patrice signing off. Go with my love. Be healthy - be happy.

I wanted to tell you what amazing talent you have over at your clinic. I have been to many physio and chiropractic clinics over the years and none has have been able to do what Susan Railer can do in one or two sessions. She truly has a gift. She has fixed problems that other doctors could not even diagnose. Whenever I send anyone to her who is suffering from pain the response is always the same, "She is amazing!" She is always working to heighten her skill and she truly cares about the well being of her patients, emotionally as well as physically.

I would like to thank Patrick Handfield for helping me gain my almost full mobility, flexibility, and most importantly my self-confidence that I can become “normal” and “functional” like before! I fell from my bicycle in California (and I forgot to renew my travel insurance... so what an ordeal!), I had a dislocated shoulder and a fracture. Excruciating pain, ambulance, emergency, 7 weeks in a sling! I was depressed, in pain, and helpless. I started my physio on September 15th with Patrick Handfield. Patrick is the expert in athletic injury! Here it is important to note that above everything, Patrick understands the athletes’ states of mind and their passion to practise sports like before. Well, sport is my life! I can not live without my running, swimming skiing, etc. After 2 months of physio, all I can say is that Patrick has helped me gain my mobility; and Yes I have started swimming like before (without pushing too much) and my life is so much rosier! Patrick helps you feel great mentally and physically whatever is your injury. With Patrick, all your movements can become possible and you will regain your strength 100%! Un Gros Merci! I highly recommend Patrick and all his smiling and professional team at Action Sport Physio Downtown!

After 2 years of heel pain with plantar fasciitis on the left heel and bone spurs on both heels. I finally got immense improvement with 3 Shockwave treatments. I tried all the conventional therapy, a rigid boot of night; tens treatments (two times) but nothing really worked until the shockwave therapy. The improvement is 80% and Remi tells me it will continue to improve. He gave me strengthening exercises as my left foot and ankle has become weak because of the heel pain and had for past two years. I now feel strong and very active.

January 14th 2008 Started off 3-4 months ago in terrible lower back pain, hardly able to walk straight. It was clear where I would drag myself for help;Remi. Remi had treated my lower disc rupture and slip 4 years prior and I was doing great until this relapse from strenuous moving. To my delight, Remi was ever available to treat me, answer my (numerous) questions and always has well-informed answers and advice. I am now on the straight and narrow to being fit and healthy,I am out of pain, can walk and will be back skiing shortly. I know how to control my back. For Remi’s time, patience and extreme competence. Merci!

Over the last six years I’ve had an ACL and meniscus repair to both my knees and have counted on Action Sport Physio to help me get back to being as athletic as I was prior to my surgeries. In both cases, I have regained the strength and flexibility in both my legs and have truly benefited from the care provided by the courteous and caring therapists at Action Sport. I appreciate all the treatments I’ve had, and would not be back in shape if it was not for Action Sport. Thank you Marie!

I came to Action Sport Physio with a severe knee sprain and I was concerned for something worse. After Remi’s analysis and an MRI my fears were relieved and no serious injury was present. After a couple of months of physiotherapy with Remi my knee is back to normal and I am pain free. This is not my first injury or my first time at Action Sport. If I ever need physio again (very likely at my age!), I will not hesitate to return to Action Sport!
