The candidate for the position of physiotherapist will carry out his functions in a professional manner in collaboration with or under the supervision of the head physiotherapist and/or general management. The main objective of this position is to offer the appropriate treatment and rehabilitation of each patient in order to help in their recovery and allow them to return to their normal activities. As a health professional, the physiotherapist must be able to handle all the functions required of his or her title. For example, he or she must be able to evaluate a patient, establish a treatment program, offer appropriate treatment, insure a follow-up of the patient as well as make written reports of the patient’s progress in order to communicate with the concerned health professional about the patient, etc. The physiotherapist will work with a multidisciplinary team in order to offer the best care and service to the patient. He or she might also be asked to carry administrative functions – such as quality control.
Masters in physiotherapy. Must be a qualified member of the OPPQ and/or CPA or SPC. Must have a basic knowledge of Word, Excel, ClinicMaster and Internet. Must be bilingual, have empathy, be professional and respect confidentiality, be dynamic, have a team spirit, good communication skills, can adapt easily, can resolve problems, is a good listener, can work under pressure, have analytical skills. Initiative, leadership, good time management and know his or her limits.
Expertise in perineal and pelvic rehabilitation is mandatory
