Stephanie Russo has a bachelors in BSc Exercise Science with Specialization in Athletic Therapy as well as a BSc Honours in Psychology (Thesis Neuroscience) with a Minor in multidisciplinary sciences from Concordia University.
She is a member of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association and is currently working towards becoming a reconditioning specialist as well as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Furthermore, she is involved in a research project and clinical trial involving a new rehabilitation modality for traumatic brain injury patients.
Stephanie’s career path was influenced by her travels to Australia where she was able to shadow the Therapist for the Sydney FC soccer team as well as the Sydney Swan Rugby national teams.
Not only did she play varsity soccer during her studies, she also had the opportunity to work with the strength and conditioning team for the Alouettes, as well as work with the Judo and Karate Canada at their major games this past year. Her experience with these teams as well as in the private sector has allowed her to work with all different age groups and active backgrounds.
She is an avid enthusiast of physical activity and practices what she preaches. She has competed in track and field, diving and she has played soccer at the university level. She has competed in several half marathons in Montreal and the beautiful Mont-Tremblant and has found a new passion for triathlons and competed in the 5i50 Ironman series triathlon this summer. She has also coached diving, swimming and running clinics and yoga.
Stephanie’s approach to treatment is understating the demands of each person’s environment and tailoring a prevention or rehabilitation program to fit their needs and goals. She uses her wide knowledge of biomechanics as well as hand on approach to help you achieve your goals.
