Sarah-Maude Morin Boulais
Sarah-Maude has been a certified athletic therapist (CAT(c)) since 2011 and also has the NATA certification (National Athletic Trainers Association) since 2013. In terms of continuing education, she obtained a certification in soft tissue release (STR), a certification in functional movements (FMS Level 1 &2) and a certification for proprioceptive taping application (kinesiotaping international KT1-KT2).
For more than 5 years, Sarah-Maude had been working in clinic as well as on the field with sports teams. Over the years, she accumulated many hours of practice with a lot of different sports. She is now the head athletic therapist of St-Laurent College men’s hockey team. She is also assistant athletic therapist with Les Canadiennes de Montréal women’s hockey team. Moreover, Sarah-Maude is a tournament therapist for Tennis Canada, which brought her to work with professional players on different tournaments in Québec. Lastly, she was part of the medical team of the Winter Canada Games, which took place in Prince George, British Columbia, in 2015.
Sarah-Maude founded the medical department of the Lac St-Louis Regional Soccer Association in 2014, after 2 years of field coverage for the organisation. Within her mandate, she was able to upgrade and develop the athletic therapy service for more than 100 student-athletes part of the sport-études program. She also implemented services and educational programs on sport-related injuries for athletes, parents and coaches of West Island soccer clubs.
As a member of the Action Sport Physio family since 2012, Sarah-Maude favors a clinical approach based on manual therapies and rehabilitation exercises.
