Michael received his bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from McGill University in 2000, four years after receiving a degree in Physiology, also from McGill. He joined the ASP Laval team in July 2015.
With 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist in the field of physical rehabilitation, Michael is an expert in assuring a prompt and lasting return to work. Not only is he able to provide frontline occupational therapy services, but he can also handle customers in need of “second line” services, i.e., an interdisciplinary and intensive program of 5.5 hours per day. In addition, Michael is able to lead the interdisciplinary team working with the customer, entirely by himself. Similarly, he is able to perform workstation analyses and functional abilities evaluations (FAE).
Not only does Michael show patience and listen carefully to his customers, but he also has great respect and empathy for them, providing quality service. Always trying to motivate his clients, he is known for his kindness and great sense of humor, providing an atmosphere conducive to learning, motivation and the will of the client to resume his or her occupational activities, including returning to work.
In his free time, he likes to play sports, watch movies and listen to music. He also loves to travel.
