Biography

B.Sc., CAT(c)

Laura has completed her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, specializing in Athletic Therapy in May 2018 and passed her certification exam at the National Examination in June 2018 with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association.

Since 2014, Laura has worked with various sports during her 1,200 hours of internship such as hockey, rugby, basketball and soccer, providing proper on-field emergency care, evaluation of injuries, rehabilitation, and much more. One of these internships was with the Montréal Impact Academy due to her interest and background in soccer. Laura played for Concordia's Women's Soccer team throughout school and has been playing soccer since the age of 4. In addition, she has always been a multi-sport athlete and very passionate about all sports.

However, Laura's experience goes beyond the athletic population, since one of her internships was in a non-varsity setting, a student private clinic called PERFORM. Throughout school, Laura has developed a particular interest in manual therapy and functional exercise rehabilitation. She is a firm believer that teamwork and a good understanding between the patient and therapist is what brings the best results for recovery and thrives to keep growing as an athletic therapist.
