Cinthia Pietrantonio began at Action Sport Physio St. Leonard as a patient while she was in high school. Learning from her injuries, Cinthia developed an interest in athletic therapy. She began her career at Action Sport Physio St. Leonard in 2004 as an assistant therapist, weeks after beginning her studies in the Athletic Therapy, Exercise Science program at Concordia University.
Cinthia received her bachelor’s degree in the Athletic Therapy program in June 2007. On November 2008, Cinthia completed her certification exam and is now a Certified Athletic Therapist in the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association. Since beginning at Action Sport Physio, she has worked with the AAA Bourassa Soccer Association, the Asymétriques gymnastics club, the Gymkhana gymnastics club and the St. Leonard Cougars’ football teams. Cinthia was also the therapist for the Quebec figure skating team at the 2008 BMO Canadian Figure Skating Championships.
Since January 2009, Cinthia has been working with the Action Sport Physio Boucherville and Longueuil clinics as a therapist in clinic as well as with the Collège Français sports studies program in Longueuil. March 2010, she had the opportunity to work with the national Racquetball team during their Pan American Championships in Honduras.
In addition to having her sports first responder course, Cinthia has taken courses in Soft Tissue Release and Muscle Energy of the Cervical Spine and she is looking forward to continuing her education in manual therapy.
